God is gay

What did Kurt mean by "God Is Gay"? The guys of Nirvana were staunch feminists and LGBT supporters. Kurt didn't hide it, at all. He wanted to piss off the homophobes (not a bad sentiment) I’d assume he was just trying to make a controversial/shocking slogan that might annoy/anger the “average joe”. Just wanted to piss off homophobes.

Although the Gospels do not record Jesus specifically saying the word “homosexuality,” He addresses sexual sins and upholds the Genesis model of marriage. In Matthew , Jesus refers to the “male and female” design for marriage, concluding by saying, “So they are no longer two, but one flesh.
